Welcome to the Alford Valley Railway

Scotlands first 2ft Narrow Gauge passenger railway, running a service every 40 min. from Alford to Haughton Park.

Experience the Joy of the Railway -
Nothing evokes memories of a more civilised era than an old fashioned train ride! Experience a little piece of history on one of our beautifully restored trains, running between April and September, with our Santa Specials in December.

Season Opening
This year we are opening on Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April; thereafter we will open each weekend until the end of June. During July and August we are open every day, and in September, weekends again.

First train leaves at 12.30pm; Last train at 4.00pm.
We have added an events page this year for our additional programme.

2012 Fares
Ticket prices for this year are as follows:
Adult: £3
Child: £2
All tickets are return, or `round trip´. There are no single tickets from either station, ie. Alford or Haughton.
