Welcome to the Alford Valley Railway

Scotlands first 2ft Narrow Gauge passenger railway, running a service every 40 min. from Alford to Haughton Park.

Experience the Joy of the Railway -
Nothing evokes memories of a more civilised era than an old fashioned train ride! Experience a little piece of history on one of our beautifully restored trains, running between April and September, with our Santa Specials in December.

Season Opening
We will be opening in April, once again, each weekend. Please refer to our timetable section for exact dates. We look forward to an exciting new season, with special events planned and hope to see old and new friends on the train.

2012 Fares
Ticket prices for this year are as follows:
Adult: £3
Child: £2
All tickets are return, or `round trip´. There are no single tickets from either station, ie. Alford or Haughton.
