Alford Valley Railway links the centre of Alford withHaughton Park.
The route extends from the restored Alford Railway Station, through the popular Alford Golf Course, alongside the trees parallel to Lang Stracht, entering Haughton Park through a tree lined avenue, terminating at the platform.
The journey offers spectacular views of the Bennachie hill range.
The engine is turned round at Haughton, and the journey begins again in reverse.
Passengers may join the train at either station, for a single journey returning later, or a `round tripī (approx. 1.7km total; av time 25 minutes)
